A common misconception about Islay single malt is that it is all heavily peated. Not true. And Bunnahabhain proves the point with its lightly peated malts. Fruitier and less aggressive than some of its Islay cousins, Bunnahabhain produce some very approachable and easy drinking whiskies. But don’t take that to mean they are lightweight.
The Bunnahabhain official releases are typically fruity, soft and balanced. Bottled at decent strength - 46.3% ABV for the 12 year old - and un-chillfiltered these whiskies have a great deal to offer.
