This is a great bottle -- arguably much better than, say, the Macallan 18, at a much more reasonable price. A very smooth and rich scotch, with a nice sweetness, coming I think, from sherry casking. No over-prominent notes; neither oak, nor peat, nor sweet. A wonderfully rounded flavor. Highly, highly recommended.

I didn't like Speyside single malts. I deemed them soft, sweet and meek. At least that's what I thought before the Glenrothes 1985 completely changed me. I guess I always knew the day would come.
