The Glasgow distillery Auchentoshan is located in the midst of a surprisingly dense residential area which makes it a little difficult to find on first visit. Boasting a very attractive visitors centre, this distillery produces a very fruity style of whisky.
First licensed in 1823, although reputed to have been distilling from around 1800, this distillery - like many in Scotland - has changed hands a number of times down the years and is currently owned by the Morrison Bowmore group which is in turn owned by the Japanese company Suntory.
