Glenrothes 10 Year Old 1984 Signatory 'On the Road' for Velier

Little is known about this Glenrothes. It was distilled in 1984 and bottled in 1995 for Velier in Genova (Italy). The label boasts ‘On the Road’, but that is all I can tell you. I scored the sample at a tasting where everybody had to bring his/her own bottle to share. The nose is fresh and spicy with loads of wood shavings. Warm and inviting....

This is another pleasant but one dimensional dram from Glenrothes. This particular 1991 vintage was bottled in 2008. The nose is soft and well rounded with the familiar vanilla and citrus overtones.
