Bruichladdich 21 Year Old Oloroso Sherry

Exceptionally beautiful nose of stewed pears dipped in sherry resulting in a big statement. The palate is sweet honey with mild undertones of leather and tobacco. It has a medium to strong finish full of nuts, apples and gentle smoke. An excellent example of getting the best out of maturing in Oloroso Sherry casks.

This is the last of the samples I ordered from Master of Malt. The only other Bruichladdich expression I have tasted is the Links, St. Andrews The Old Course. I found it quite good. If this whisky compares to the other, but with more age and finished in an Oloroso Sherry cask, then it should be quite excellent! This expression is bottled at 46%...
