Ralfy said that this is the Champagne of single malts. I agree, at least when it comes to movies. For me it is like Hitchcock's movie Champagne. Not his best work, but a nice showing. Kinda like Vintage 1989 by Balblair. This is a 20 year old whisky and a very popular. But I did like the 1997 version a bit better. Don't add water, at least too...

Balblair Blablair 1978

This was made when i was a wee boy aged 3 years of age. Exciting to try it eh? so here we go Nose: Spice with cloves,Some berries and Plums. Lovely stuff! Palate: heavier with Coffee, dark chocolate, leather some plums again, and chocolate truffles. yummy stuff. Finish: Long, with Tobacco and dried fruit.

Balblair 1997

Very bright golden appearance. The nose is very vibrant with bright oranges and lemons, followed by sweet fig and coconut. The nose is a BIT muted. The palate comes strong with sweet toffee, white pepper and medium body. The finish isn't short, but no new flavors arrive. A very pretty little 10 year.

Nose: What a delight : vanilla, sweet honey, pineapple, banana peel , fruit and ginger candy.you can call it fruit salad madness , and you’d be right. so nice. honey, the aromas just scream out there to you, no need to go looking’ bits of lemon curd here and there. truly lovely stuff! when you let it rest you get a bit of charred wood.
