Irish whiskey has a reputation for smooth, sweet flavours and Tyrconnell, a single malt distilled at the Cooley Distillery is no exception. Named after a famous race horse and originally produced at the Watt Distillery the brand was revived by Cooley.
As well as the standard expression, the Tyrconnell range also includes a 15 year old and some ‘finished’ whiskeys - whiskeys which have had a second period of maturation in casks other than ex-bourbon barrels. These include Port, Sherry and Madeira finishes.
