Teaninich is a Scotch Whisky from the Highland region of Scotland. The distillery is located near the town of Alness, Ross-shire. Teaninich was originally founded by Captain Hugh Munro in 1817. The distillery's water source is Dairywell Spring. It now runs at a capacity of 4,400,000 litres per year under the watch of current owners Diageo.
The spirit produced at Teaninich distillery is one of the key components in the blended whisky VAT 69, Haig and Johnnie Walker. Independent bottlings of Teaninich are sometimes available through Gordon & Macphail, Hart Brothers, SMWS and others.
