Owned by Suntory, who also own Yamazaki, Hakushu Distillery was opened in 1973. Yamazaki is perhaps the more famous of the two but Hakushu still has a number of claims to fame - at one point it had 36 stills in operation! The distillery currently has a capacity of 3,000,000 litres. The core range consists of the Hakushu 10, 12, 18 and 25 years old expressions.
