The Bulleit whiskeys are distilled for Diageo at the Four Roses Distillery. Originally developed by Tom Bulleit to revive the brand first started by his great-great-grandfather Augustus Bulleit. Augustus Bulleit produced bourbon from around 1830 until 1860 when he mysteriously disappeared.
The packaging is beautifully old fashioned and the standard Bulleit Bourbon has a very high rye content for a spicy flavour. They now also produce Bulleit ’95’ Rye which has a whopping 95% rye content in its mash bill.
